My trip to Southend

Hey everyone, here yet again with another blog post... I'm getting good at keeping up with these at the moment aren't I?
I took my first ever drive to Southend last week, which is a major achievement for me because I haven't driven that far before in all the three years I have had my drivers license for. The weather on the way down to Southend was horrible, I honestly felt like turning round and going back home because it was heavy rain and it would of made the day miserable if it was raining once we got to Southend but luckily it wasn't raining at all and it was actually quite hot once we got there which was nice.

Once we had found a parking space we then headed straight for the beach front and stood on the beach for a little while looking at the sea, trying to skim some rocks which we all failed at. I then decided that it was time for something to eat as I hadn't eaten any breakfast so we went to Wimpy to have some lunch. My sister and her boyfriend suggested that we should go to the arcades, so me and my boyfriend agreed to go with them for a little while. You always end up over spending in the arcades trying to win a toy in those grab machines which I think are a total con, but does that stop me from playing them? Absolutely not! I found a rubber ducky grab machine that said you won every time, so me being me put my pound coin in and decided to give it a go... I then came out of that arcade with three ducks.
We all spent most of the time in and out of the arcades, spending lots of money on grab machines and the 2p machines. In between going to and from the arcades we were also buying lots of drink because it was so hot and in the end me and my boyfriend decided to grab an ice cream and sit outside the arcades while my sister and her boyfriend stayed inside playing on the machines.

Towards the end of the day we grabbed some doughnuts, drink and sat on the wall facing the sea enjoying our food and time spent there. With the tide out we decided to head down to the beach and take some photos, while my sister and her boyfriend went further out to paddle in the sea.
After spending so much time on the beach it was time to start heading home, after such a lovely day I wish I could do it more often but I'd love to go to a different beach each time if I could, luckily Southend is kind of close to where I live so I am lucky that I live close enough to a beach.
I will add some more pictures down below for you to have a look at, and as always thank you for reading.
